Support for Offender Services

When travelling across the UK Yasus Afari has taken his knowledge of Rastafari in to prison settings. In discussion with Prison Staff he customised each session with his "edutainment" approach using poetry, music and reasoning, offering groups opportunities to reflect and discuss issues. The impact of these workshops is significant in refocusing or giving options to consider for the future.

Yasus works with Rastafarian groups and others, and during October the focus is often on Black History.

Yasus Afari and the Rastafari Heritage Team also provide workshops for Police, Prison and Immigration Staff, as well as consultancy for the Chaplaincy Service and Armed Services.
